FAQs

Are your sessions covered by insurance?

Yes, if your insurance covers psychologists your sessions will be covered. It is best to double check with your insurance company before you start to see if sessions are fully or partially covered and what your total annual amount of coverage is. 

How much do sessions cost?

Individual sessions are $235 for one hour. Couples sessions are $285 for one hour.

Family constellations take 2 hours and are billed at $470.

Are my sessions confidential?

Yes, all sessions are 100% confidential. No information will ever be released to a 3rd party without your prior written consent. 

Exceptions to confidentiality include the legal and/or ethical obligations of your therapist to:

-Inform a potential victim of a client’s intention to harm them

-Inform an appropriate family member, health care professional, or police if necessary of a client’s intention to end their life

-Release a client’s file if there is a court order to do so 

-Inform Child Protection if there is suspicion of a child at risk of harm or in need of protection due to neglect, or physical, sexual or emotional abuse.

Can I wear a mask during counselling?

Yes, you may wear a mask. Your counsellor is fully vaccinated and boosted. Seating is spaced more than 6 feet apart during your session and high touch surfaces are sanitized between sessions. We strive to keep you safe, mentally, emotionally and physically. 

What types of therapy do you offer?

We utilize a variety of evidence based modalities to assist you in getting the best results possible. Some examples are; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and NOI Pain Management Therapy.

Are you a sex-surrogate?

No, all sessions are talk sessions only.
